Who Are We?

History Of The Church:

On April 2, 2000, Living Water Fellowship held its first service in Elder and Pastor Dunn's home.
With the help of the Holy Ghost, lots of praying and fasting, the church moved forward with 5 members. The first message was entitled: "Awake to Righteousness" (Romans 13: 11-14). We started out with Wednesday Night Prayer Service and Sunday Worship Service. At the very beginning of the ministry and even now, Pastor Dunn has done and is still doing a lot of evangelism and witnessing in the county of Louisa and also surrounding counties. In continued preparation for the ministry, the Lord gave Pastor Dunn a vision regarding the church, i.e. how the sanctuary would look and he showed her that gold and royal blue would be the colors. Without hesitation Pastor Dunn started a building fund to buy the royal blue chairs.
   As time went on, Pastor Dunn continued to pray for a church location and after several months of looking, she came upon some land for sale. When she inquired about the land, unaware the numbers had gotten mixed up she called the wrong person. Pastor Dunn called the number that was to the owner of this building, The Sage Building. The owner of the building, Jane, was looking for someone to start a church there.

With much gold and royal blue paint, sweat, tears and pains, together the members (Brother Mark Johnson, Brother Charles Sewell, Sister Melody Sewell, Sister Deirdre Haywood, Sister Shelly Smith and Sister Tia Haywood) pulled together to make this vision come to past.
Pastor Dunn went to a friend of Deirdre's and told her the vision and she was able to draw the mural that you see on the wall.

       On December 16, 2001 we held our first service in our new sanctuary; the first message was entitled "You can't stop my blessings."
There have been a couple of miracles that have happened since the ministry has started: A child while sitting in his seat had symptoms of seizures. We started praying and the spirit of the Lord healed him. Today, this child is walking and talking. They took him to the doctor and the doctors informed them that there is nothing wrong with him. HALLEJUAH!!

      A guest was in the midst of us just blacked out. We could barely feel his pulse and while the ambulance was on the way, the saints started to pray. The ambulance came and took him to the hospital. They thought he had a heart attack by the time he got to the hospital. However, they checked him and the doctors said he might have fainted. When Pastor Dunn went to check on him, he was sitting and eating his lunch. Living water touched our guest.
      With all Praise, Honor and Glory, the power of the Lord has healed many saints in our church.
Pastor Dunn's vision has come to pass with ALL glory going to God.
"And I say also unto thee, That thou art Peter, and upon this rock I will build my church; and the gates of hell shall not prevail against it." Matthew 16:18 (KJV)

§ God exalting preaching that points people to the greatness of our God
§ God exalting prayer that expresses a humble reliance on God alone
§ God exalting lives that are empowered by the Holy Spirit

Encouraging Community:
Let us not give up meeting together, as some are in the habit of doing, but lets encourage one another -- and all the more as you see the Day approaching. Hebrews 10:25

We are a community of believers who seek, through the exercise of the Spirit's gifts, to build each other up in our most holy faith through:

§ Small Groups
§ Public Testimonies
§ Group activities & retreats that facilitate deep faith & strong friendships
§ Prayer Meetings
§ Shepherding
§ Visitation

Equipping Community: It was he who gave some to be apostles, some to be prophets, some to be evangelists, and some to be pastors and teachers, to prepare God's people for works of service, so that the body of Christ may be built up until we all reach unity in the faith and in the knowledge of the Son of God and become mature, attaining to the whole measure of the fullness of Christ. Ephesians 4:11-13

We are a community of believers who seek to equip the body of Christ for Kingdom work by teaching the biblical truths through:
§ Sunday School
§ Youth Groups § Bible Studies
§ Instruction in Family Leadership and Family Worship
§ Family and Marriage Counseling
